Orkut Attacked: ‘Bom Sabado’ worm scraps orkut acoounts

September 25, 2010 by: admin

In the second major XSS (cross-site scripting) attack on a major social networking service this week,  Google owned Orkut was flooded with "Bom Sabado" scraps.

The worm adds a few communities to all the profiles attacked. It transfers from profiles to profile when you open any profile that is  attacked. Google says that the issue is temporarily fixed.

I suggest everyone to close your orkut tab for this time until this script get disabled from orkut.

I suggest everyone  not to open orkut account until it fixes because its a cookies stealing script it runs automatically when your orkut get started.

Right now just please do not open your accounts. If you open it will get started automatically.
