However I was able to solve the problem end by removing Adobe Reader and then installing it again. Actually I had to uninstall something like 8 programs before I found Adobe Reader that was the culprit. But I'm glad I didn't have to reimage my hard drive (this crashing thingy was starting to go on my nerves, and today I was prepared to fix this, hell or high water) Thanks for the tip though, I didn't find that many solutions when I Googled this issue, but I did find a LOT of folks with the same problem, so I figured I'd share I tried your solution, but I don’t have Google Gears installed either.
